I don’t know if anyone else noticed, but this week felt like everything quietly packed up and left. A show disappeared without a goodbye. A bag that used to look like it belonged in a gallery suddenly feels… normal? The Met announced a retrospective that’s basically challenging the entire industry. And Bella Hadid is back doing the whole “hometown campaign” thing – which, sorry, we need to unpack.

Nothing here is exactly breaking news. It’s just the kind of stuff that slips past if you’re not paying attention.

Dior Just Fixed The One Thing Everyone Complained About

Remember when Jonathan Anderson’s Dior debut had everyone asking: beautiful, but would anyone actually wear it? The new Toujours Hobo might actually be the answer. The sculptural, almost untouchable feeling is gone – replaced with something softer and way more wearable. It’s a small change, but it says a lot: Dior might be figuring out how to make the fantasy live in real life.. Maybe Dior is finally letting the fantasy breathe.

The Met Said “No More Avoiding It”

The Met is bringing back “John Galliano: Horizons,” the genius, the drama, the controversy, all of it. They’re not skipping 2011, The interesting part won’t be the obvious spectacle (because obviously the clothes will be insane). It’ll be whether fashion can actually sit with a messy legacy instead of just turning it into another beautiful archive moment.The question is: can fashion look back without rewriting the story?

Bella Hadid Is Having Another “Homecoming”

Bella Hadid is back in LA with Alo, and yes, the campaign looks exatly how you’d expect: beautiful, effortless, impossible to hate. But “shot in the city she grew up in” is becoming fashion’s favourite shortcut to make a campaign feel personal. At some point, the nostalgia needs to bring something more than just a familiar face in a familiar place. but how many times can nostalgia be the concept before it stops feeling personal?
