Alright, quick one this week because apparently fashion decided to speed-run the news cycle.Dior dropped a bag that feels like an archive piece you can actually take to brunch. i-D quietly changed hands. Copenhagen had a whole fashion week, and somehow barely anyone was talking about it. And now September is coming at us very fast.

So yeah. Let’s catch up before the next thing happens.

Dior Really Said: Take The Archive Home

Jonathan Anderson pulled the Cigale from a 1952 Dior couture dress – the curved shape, the bow, all of it and turned it into an actual bag you’d want to carry.

And honestly, this is what makes the whole Dior thing under him interesting. He’s not just doing the obvious archive references for the sake of it. He’s making them feel wearable. Like, yes, it came from couture history, but I could still see someone carrying it to lunch on a Tuesday.

i-D Changed Editors And Everyone Just… Moved On

Thom Bettridge is out as editor-in-chief and Steff Yotka is taking over after running the global editorial side since last October.

There wasn’t some huge announcement or industry meltdown, Just a very quiet switch. Which is kind of funny because i-D’s print relaunch was only eighteen months ago. So now it’s actually interesting to see what Yotka does when she’s fully in the driver’s seat.

Copenhagen Was Cooking, By The Way

Copenhagen Fashion Week SS27 happened and somehow the internet barely cared. Which is a shame, because there was actually a lot to look at. It didn’t feel like the same clean, beige, Scandinavian-minimalism formula on repeat. No Paris-sized crowd, no insane amount of noise – just good fashion doing its thing.

September Is About To Ruin Everyone’s Sleep Schedule

Fashion month is coming, obviously.

New York starts September 10, with Henry Zankov making his debut at Diane von Furstenberg. The whole week is also going fur-free for the first time, which is actually a pretty big move.

Then we get Paris from September 28 to October 6. The full schedule isn’t out yet, but you already know what happens when it is. Hotels ,Tables everything disappear & Everyone suddenly has somewhere to be.

Oh, And We’re Back

Creative Connect is coming back in September. Same thing as before – People building things, people trying to get ideas off the ground, people talking about what they’re working on, and somehow everyone leaving with a new contact.
